Dethatching

Dethatching

After the lawn mowing season has completed and winter snow has compacted your lawn, it is important to dethatch in early spring. ¬†Dethatching is the process of running short tines across your lawn to aggressively remove dead lawn clippings. ¬†These clippings mat down across the soil and prevent nutrients from reaching deeper levels of your lawn’s root systems. When the lawn has been dethatched, the mowers will then mow the lawn collecting the thatch.
